Stephen N Perkins

Stephen N. Perkins | Founder & Editor-in-Chief

Stephen N. Perkins is the founder and Editor-in-Chief of the OUTSET Network. He started OUTSET in the fall of 2014 as an alternative publication where the next generation of conservative leaders could contribute informed, positive, and constructive political commentary. Stephen is a graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington and works as a leadership and communications specialist. Originally from Houston, he now lives in Kansas City, MO.

Karly Matthews | Managing Editor

Karly Matthews is studying journalism, political science, and Spanish at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. On campus, she is the President of Network of Enlightened Women at Temple, Communications Director for the Pennsylvania Federation of College Republicans and a Spanish-speaking anchor at Temple’s student-run TV studio. Off campus, she is a Future Female Leader Cabinet Member and manages OUTSET’s contributing writer program.

Caleb Franz | Head Media Producer

Caleb Franz is the Head Media Producer for the OUTSET Network, a position in which he directly manages the development and production of OUTSET’s podcast and video content. He is also the host of “MilLiberty with Caleb Franz.” Caleb frequents the radio waves and is an avid fan of Marvel comic books and movies.

Danielle Butcher | Development Director

Danielle Butcher is a conservative political consultant who aides organizations in communicating their big ideas and empowering leaders. She specializes in areas of marketing, mediation, digital strategy, public relations, development, and management. In addition to her work at OUTSET, she is involved with Future Female Leaders and the American Conservation Coalition.

Eddie Stamper

Eddie Stamper

Originally from Huntington, WV, Eddie Stamper works as a digital marketing professional in Washington, DC. Eddie got his start in the liberty movement during Rand Paul’s 2016 presidential run, then continued the fight for freedom with Young Americans for Liberty (YAL). When he’s not tweeting, you can find Eddie running, playing tennis, or binge-watching Netflix.

Eric Wagner

Eric Wagner is a New York native, a Green Bay Packers fan, and a libertarian. He is currently majoring in Economics at Stony Brook University and plans to pursue a law degree. He is the chapter President of Young Americans for Liberty, and a member of the College Republicans at his University.

Jacob Bratcher

Jacob Bratcher is a tenth-generation native Tennessean and first-generation college student, earning a Bachelor’s in History (Cum Laude) in 2016 from Lipscomb University in Nashville. In his spare time, he enjoys following his favorite sports of horse racing and college football, studying American religious history, volunteering with Relay for Life, and reading any book not written by Ayn Rand or Karl Marx.

Matthew Liles

Matt Liles is a sophomore International Relations & Global Studies major at the University of Texas at Austin. He is passionate about economic freedom, constitutional law, and the state of Texas. Originally from the Dallas area, he is an alumnus of the Community Voices program at the Dallas Morning News and an intern in the Texas State Legislature. When he’s not writing about freedom, you can find Matt procrastinating at coffee shops, hiking or kayaking, or tweeting weird humor.

Nicholas Lindquist

Nick Lindquist is a Junior at Le Moyne College in Syracuse, NY where is pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing with a minor in communications. His passion for politics began during the 2012 election cycle, inspiration coming from the Mitt Romney for President Campaign. In his free time, you can usually find Nick on a hiking trail, reading about US History, spending time with his friends and family, or playing with his dog.

Owen Crew

Owen Crew is a Reformed occasional seminary student who blogs about society and politics in his spare time. Investigative reporter and opinionated conservative. Focus on rule of law, character, and social harmony. Married to my wonderful wife Sarai and father of a beautiful baby boy, Jonathan.

Peter Chan

Peter Chan currently resides in Tallahassee, FL, where he is a junior at Florida State University studying Economics and Political Science. Peter is deeply committed to the Liberty movement, illustrated by his involvement with Students for Liberty and the American Enterprise Institute. When he’s not railing against big government, Peter can be found relaxing with a cup of tea and a book or plotting world domination on Civilization V.

Simone Price

Simone Cherie (Price) is a nonprofit advisor and development consultant. Her development and fundraising experience ranges from regional non-profits to nationwide candidates for public office, most notably conservative and pro-liberty causes, including Freedom Partners, Americans for Prosperity and Tea Party Patriots among others. She has described her political views as ‘fiscally conservative and culturally cognizant with a strong libertarian streak;’ she is a graduate of Emory University.

Jerrod Laber

Jerrod A. Laber is a D.C. based writer and journalist who writes on issues of foreign policy, the history of race in America, political trends, and arts & culture. He is a contributor to the Washington Examiner, and also has work published in The American Conservative, the Columbus Dispatch, and Real Clear Defense, among others. He was a Writing Fellow with America’s Future Foundation and a Free Society Fellow with Young Voices. In addition to his writing, he is a classically trained singer who has appeared in opera, musical theater, and concert across the eastern and mid-western United States.
