On Monday, Americans celebrated Martin Luther King Jr. Day. It’s a moment to remember the incredible legacy of the late Civil Rights leader, but the part of King’s story that is often overlooked is how many challenges he faced during his life.
He was arrested, stabbed, survived and by the government, denied access to personal protection, and his home bombed. And as we all know, he was eventually assassinated.
