It is easy to pass judgment when a new accusation of wrong doing comes up and side on the side of the victim. But this default position could in fact be very harmful to the state of justice in America. On this week’s MilLiberty, Caleb breaks down why it’s more important than ever to make innocence be the default position and how that importance relates to the state of liberty. He reviews many of the sexual assault scandals and separates the difference between “deserving to be believed” and “deserving to be taken seriously.”

Later he connects these stories with the broader issue of justice and the dangers of being too quick to judge someone’s guilt.
