WATCH: Newt Gingrich and Megyn Kelly Duke It out over Trump Coverage

Even in an election season where just about anything goes, Tuesday night’s episode of The Kelly File was among the year’s most interesting and cringeworthy television.

During an interview with Newt Gingrich, former Speaker of the House and presidential candidate, Megyn Kelly was accused of spending too much time on Donald Trump’s sexual exploits and not enough time on the Clintons.

“The three major networks spent 23 minutes attacking Donald Trump [on the night of the third debate], and 57 seconds on Hillary Clinton’s secret speeches,” Gingrich said.

Attempting to respond to Gingrich’s criticism, Kelly said “if Trump is a sexual predator, then it’s a big story.” She continued to say that the media has a duty to cover such stories.

Gingrich, unimpressed with that justification, went on to suggest that Kelly was focused on the wrong issues.

“If you want to go back through the tapes of your show recently, you are fascinated with sex, and you don’t care about public policy,” Gingrich said.

Once again, Kelly defended her duty to cover all major stories, saying that she has covered both Trump and the Clinton’s on her show.

“I just want to hear you use the words ‘Bill Clinton, sexual predator.’ I dare you. Say ‘Bill Clinton, sexual predator,'” Gingrich said.

“We’re going to have to leave it at that, and you can take your anger issues and spend some time working on them,” Kelly said, ending the interview.
