Caleb discusses third parties and the notion that it is a waste to vote for them. Many people from both political parties – from President Obama to Newt Gingrich – have stated “if you don’t vote for Donald Trump you are actually voting for Hillary Clinton” or vice versa. That way of thinking should only tell you how lazy they are to actually fight for your vote and that neither candidates of the two major parties have principle.
Caleb discusses Gary Johnson, the Libertarian Party, and why it might be a good thing Gary isn’t in the debates – but should be anyway.
In closing, he brings up a quote from Charles Sumner reminding us why voting on partisanship alone is meaningless without the principles that supposedly separated the parties in the first place.
